Marketplace is split into various sections and the ones you Visit most will show in your recommended section, as well as all over your feed.
Don’t limit yourself to the ‘Video Games’ section, there may be users who have listed what you want in other section such as ‘Toys & Games’, ‘Electronics’ and ‘Home Goods’. You also have to set your location on Marketplace, which you can put anywhere. You don’t have to limit yourself to your local area, if you use a large radius, you may ļ¬nd that some people are willing to send the items to you in the post. Make sure to check these out, a lot of them are ran by honest gamers who just want a nice little buy/sell community. There are also snakes in the grass who make these groups, make themselves admin and only allow posts to be submitted once approved by the admin. I’ve proven this for myself that these groups will let the worse deals go through and keep all the good ones for themselves. It’s underhanded and I only ever post my items on these groups, rather than buy from them. Just check them less often than the other ones you use.
Don’t get too competitive! There’s nothing wrong with a bit of honest rivalry in the world of video game resale but never let it go too far. If you miss out, you miss out and it’s a case of taking it on the chin. Often I see ‘beef’ between local sellers, calling each other out and chatting about them. These sellers may buy off you in the future or even help you out with good deals, such as going halves on large lots. Plus, it’s just a case of being a nice person.
